Emily VanCamp

Emily Irene VanCamp is a Canadian actor who is known for her roles as lead actress in a variety of television shows and also for her powerful performance in films. The actress is well-known on Canadian as well as American television. Emily began to become interested in performing arts when she was in her 12th grade. When she was 12, Emily visited her elder sister Katie in the film studio. When Emily realized her love of acting, she enrolled in training in acting classes and went to auditions. She began with some commercials however, she was eventually cast as a child actor on the Canadian television horror show Are You Fearful of the Darkness? It was the only scene in which she did not speak. The actress got her first big breakthrough at 15 when she was cast as a regular on The WB program Glory Days. Emily's role in the WB show Glory Days, which was canceled 9 episodes later, drew the attention and interest of Greg Berlanti from Dawson's Creek. Emily, who is also an artist and ballerina, was recognized by Teen magazine as one of the best actresses younger than 20. Maxim's Hot 100 List of 2014 placed Emily at number 51.
