In the weeks that followed the students from all over participated in Thunberg's #FridaysforFuture protests. Students opted to skip Friday school to demonstrate against climate change. Global climate activists met in the year 2019, to lead the Global Strike for Climate. This was a huge success. Over 1.6 million participants from over 125 countries participated.
